Quickly export large numbers of documents from your SharePoint Document Libraries! Exported documents can be used in situations where offline collaboration is necessary or to aid data migration efforts.
List Bulk Export allows you to pull documents from SharePoint to your file system. Large volumes of documents that need to be accessed offline can be exported quickly and easily. Documents can be exported with or without versions, and the set of documents to export can be filtered by view based criteria. List Bulk Import runs in the background on your client machine, so you can continue to work while it's processing. Better yet, you can schedule it to run at a time that's convenient for you.

The List Bulk Export application can be run on a client machine with no server installation required. Once installed, you must connect to the SharePoint server that you want to export documents from, select a Document Library export source, select a Document Library View and provide a file system destination path. Checkbox options allow you to specify how you want to handle file overwrite conditions and whether to export all versions (if exporting a Document Library with versioning). Other options can be selected allowing you to include documents in Document Library sub-folders in the export, and whether to recreate the Document Library folder structure on the file system. You can also choose to save the import configuration to reload it again manually or use it to schedule regular exports of documents in an unattended mode. There is a log file that can be viewed from the application as well to check on processing and to help resolve any export errors.
The application does not export meta-data associated with Document Library items. This capability will be available in release 1.5 (Feb '08). The application will not export attachments from SharePoint Lists; it only supports Document Library extraction.
